Java auto update problem i have a user who needs java 7 to run a java program to do some work in our organization. the java 8 updates from sccm/config mgr to her computer is been blocked because it messes with the current setup.. There should be updateschedule key somewhere under it. modify it to 0 to turn off automatic updates. i am on windows 7 64-bit with java 7 and the registry key is hkey_current_usersoftwarejavasoftjava updatepolicyjavafxupdateschedule. i think it could be different for different windows and java versions.. As long as you have scanned your computers with the scan profile you created / modifed above any computer that has java auto update enabled will now be a member of this collection. use pdq deploy to delete the java update registry key. in pdq deploy create a new package. add two new command steps. delete the default install step..
